Keeping our customers and first responders connected is our top priority. Especially during storms and natural disasters. So, our teams have been hard at work preparing and protecting the network ahead of Hurricane Michael.

FirstNet, built with AT&T, the AT&T local and regional network support teams and the Network Disaster Recovery teamed to stage network assets along the Gulf Coast for quick deployment. These assets include:

  • 32 Cells on Wheels and Cells on Light Trucks
  • 7 Emergency Communications Vehicles and Emergency Communications Portables
  • 1 Hazmat and Mobile Command Center

FirstNet-dedicated deployables will be available to help public safety stay connected and coordinate response efforts. And we are prepared to deploy additional resources from nearby states to support recovery efforts. These assets will help provide more coverage and capacity to affected residents and first responders.

We know staying connected is critical. That’s why we will continue to work around the clock to support first responders – before, during and after the storm – as they work to keep communities safe.
